Mark 46 Torpedo Mark 46 Torpedo

Half in, half out of the water? Who takes a photo like this?? This is a ship-launched, lightweight Mark 46 torpedo designed to attack high-performance submarines. This torpedo weighs 508 lbs in warshot configuration, has a range of 12,000 yd (6.8 mi), swims up to 46 mph, and dives to a depth of 1,200 ft. Don't even think about it. This fish can't go in your fish tank.

ASROC ASROC

This Anti-Submarine Rocket (ASROC) could be armed with an acoustic homing torpedo or with a W44 nuclear depth charge. The W44 has a 10 kiloton yield ("Little Boy" dropped on Hiroshima had a 15 kiloton yield). All ships in the area must be more than 8,000 yds (4.5 mi) from the point of underwater nuclear detonation to avoid being damaged themselves. Kinda like sawing a tree branch you're sitting on and crossing your fingers that you're on the correct side of the cut.
